Why do the drivers change tires during the race?
Answered By Niles Hanssen, Editor
The reaction of the tires against the road or the race track makes the former to become thinner. Tire threads are made to lower the friction force against the race track, however, too much velocity and high acceleration may lower the resistivity of the tires. This is why drivers must change tires after a certain miles of driving during a race.
