What kind of engine is in the NASCAR cars?

Answered By Niles Hanssen, Editor

Engine installed on Nascar cars are based on the 340-cubic inch V8 engine design that was introduced in the 1960s. They are custom-made car race engines, though they have still things in common with the original engines. They have still the same number of cylinders, same bore center lines, and the dame base displacement. Such Nascar car engines can produce 750 horsepower even without turbochargers or any particular exotic element.
